Baby Delivered On NJ Turnpike With The Help Of State Trooper

A Jersey City couple welcomed baby Archer a bit ahead of schedule on July 2, when mom Kristen Fast went into labor on the New Jersey Turnpike and Trooper Freddie Guacamaya stepped in to help with the delivery roadside. Dad Alex Fast improvised an umbilical cord clamp out of an iPhone charging cable, and the birth certificate now officially lists mile marker 113.3 as Archer’s place of birth, which is about as Jersey as it gets.
