$500K Armored NJ Police Truck Stolen, Taken For Joyride, Police Say

A Maplewood man is accused of stealing a $500,000 armored BearCat truck from NJ Transit Police headquarters in the middle of the night, taking it for a joyride to Irvington, and racking up $13,000 in damage just trying to get the nine-ton vehicle out of the parking garage. Christopher Burton-Frazier, 39, was arrested two days later and reportedly also pocketed the backup-camera monitor and a pepper-spray fogger, because apparently you accessorize when you steal a tactical assault vehicle.
