$158.4M Referendum OK'D By Morris School District Voters

Morris School District voters gave a resounding thumbs-up to a $158.4 million referendum, approving it by roughly 3 to 1. The state will cover $46.4 million of the total, with the remainder funded through bonds, adding about $38 to $41 per month to the average homeowner’s tax bill depending on whether they live in Morristown or Morris Township. The money will go toward long-overdue fixes and upgrades across district schools, including new roofs, HVAC systems, cafeteria expansions, and classroom additions.
