This free (go ahead, check the library page, it really is free) Zoom talk from the Morristown and Morris Township Library walks you through the life and legacy of Augustus Saint-Gaudens, the sculptor behind some of the most recognizable works in American public art. The hour covers three heavy hitters: the Robert Gould Shaw Memorial honoring the first all-Black volunteer Civil War regiment, his standing Lincoln, and the 1907 Double Eagle coin that Teddy Roosevelt personally commissioned and that coin collectors still argue about at dinner parties. Register through the library site and the Zoom link lands in your inbox. Tuesday, October 20 at 7:00 p.m.
