The Morristown & Morris Township Library is marking the 250th anniversary of the American Revolution with a film series, and this Thursday it’s Roland Emmerich’s The Patriot (2000). Mel Gibson plays a reluctant former soldier dragged back into the fight to protect his family, with Heath Ledger and Jason Isaacs along for the colonial chaos. It’s free to attend, light refreshments are served, and doors open at 6:15 PM for the 6:45 PM start in the lower-level Meeting Room. Rated R.
