The Morristown & Morris Township Library is screening “1776” (1972), the film adaptation of the beloved Broadway musical, as part of its series marking the 250th anniversary of the American Revolution. It’s the one where the Founding Fathers sing about independence, which sounds absurd until you realize William Daniels and Howard da Silva make it work. The screening runs from 6:45 to 8:45 p.m. on Thursday, June 18, 2026, in the lower-level Meeting Room at 1 Miller Rd. Doors open at 6:15, light refreshments are served, and admission is free. Sponsored by the Friends of the Library.
