The Morristown Library is screening “1776” (1972), the film adaptation of the beloved Broadway musical, as part of a series marking the 250th anniversary of the American Revolution. It’s the one where the Continental Congress argues, sweats, and eventually decides that yes, breaking up with England is worth the paperwork. William Daniels and Howard da Silva lead the cast. The screening runs June 18th from 6:45 to 8:45 p.m. in the lower-level Meeting Room, doors open at 6:15, light refreshments are served, and admission is free. Sponsored by the Friends of the Library, which means someone out there is doing good work.
