Heidi Schreck’s “What the Constitution Means to Me” returns to Morristown after a sold-out run earlier this year, this time landing at the Morris Museum’s Bickford Theater on September 20, 2026 at 2 p.m. Pioneer Productions brings back the original cast: Miriam Salerno as Heidi, Ben Weisman as the Legionnaire, and Ashlee Vissers as the Debater, all directed by Dan Vissers. The play follows a teenage Heidi who funded her college tuition winning Constitutional debate competitions, and it traces four generations of women against that founding document. It won the Obie and the New York Drama Critics’ Circle Award for Best American Play, and nearly took the Pulitzer. Recommended for audiences 14 and up (content includes domestic violence, sexual assault, and discussions of abortion). Tickets are available by phone at 973-971-3706, and note that a $3 service fee is baked into the price.
