If your opening chapter isn’t pulling readers in fast enough, this free workshop at the Morristown Library is probably worth your Sunday afternoon. On June 28 at 2:00 p.m., the NY chapter of Mystery Writers of America brings a four-person panel to the Meeting Room at 1 Miller Rd to talk pacing and the art of hooking readers from page one. The panel includes moderator Yvonne Ventresca, historical mystery writer Annamaria Alfieri, past MWA NY Chapter president Jeff Markowitz, and Linda Rawlins of the Misty Point and Rocky Meadow mystery series. It’s free, it’s open to all authors, and it runs one hour.
