The Female Charitable Society was founded in 1813, before women could vote and long before anything resembling a social safety net existed, and this 90-minute guided walking tour tells their story. Starting at Macculloch Hall Historical Museum (45 Macculloch Ave.) and finishing on the Morristown Green, you’ll visit key historic sites while MHHM and Presbyterian Church staff bring these 19th-century women’s voices to life. Tours go at 10:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m. on May 30, 2026. It’s free and runs rain or shine, but space is capped at 12 people per tour, so pre-registration is required. Street parking is available on Macculloch Ave., which we mention because we are constitutionally obligated to talk about parking.
