Louis Picone stops by Macculloch Hall on September 13 at 2 p.m. to talk about his newest book, “Ulysses’s Odyssey: Ulysses S. Grant’s World Tour at the Dawn of American Empire.” The book covers Grant’s three-year globe-trotting adventure that kicked off in May 1877, right after he left the White House, and Picone will walk through why that journey mattered as much as anything Grant did in office. Books will be available for purchase after the talk. Admission is $15 for adults, $10 for seniors, and $5 for youth ages 6 to 17, with free entry for MHHM members and Morristown and Morris Township Library cardholders. Space is limited, so registration is required.
