Joseph Luzzi, the Asher B. Edelman Professor of Literature at Bard College and author of eight books, brings his Breakfast University lecture to the Morris Museum on Tuesday, December 8, 2026. Doors open at 9:15 AM and the talk kicks off at 10:00. Luzzi will dig into how a handful of novels, including “To Kill a Mockingbird,” “Catch-22,” “Beloved,” and “The Handmaid’s Tale,” shaped the way Americans understand themselves, covering individualism, race, fantasy, and the ever-contested idea of the American Dream. Member tickets go on sale July 13th, with general public sales opening July 20th. Check the Morris Museum’s site for pricing and to grab your spot.
