Teen Storytelling—Scary Campfire Stories

@ Morristown & Morris Township Library

Join us as we celebrate how stories began—by word of mouth handed down from one generation to the next. In this four-session program you unearth a story and bring it to life! Drawing on oral tradition you will dig deep, shape your tale, and share it aloud on the final day, July 2…

This is one session of a four-part teen program at the Morristown and Morris Township Library, running June 29 through July 2, 2026. Each day from June 29 to July 1 meets at 3:00 PM, and the whole thing builds toward a campfire-style storytelling showcase on July 2 at 6:00 PM. The idea is to dig into oral tradition, shape a scary story over the course of the week, and then actually perform it for an audience. Bring your spookiest material, a willingness to stand up and speak, and the nerve to follow through after three days of workshopping. Registration is required, so check the library’s listing to sign up.
