Teen Storytelling—Scary Campfire Stories

@ Morristown & Morris Township Library

Join us as we celebrate how stories began—by word of mouth handed down from one generation to the next. In this four-session program you unearth a story and bring it to life! Drawing on oral tradition you will dig deep, shape your tale, and share it aloud on the final day, July 2…

This four-session program at the Morristown and Morris Township Library is built around oral tradition: teens spend three afternoons (June 29 to July 1, 3:00 to 4:30 pm) unearthing and shaping a scary story, then bring it to life at a campfire-style storytelling showcase on July 2nd at 6:00 pm. All sessions meet on the lower level in the Meeting Room. It’s the kind of program where you arrive not knowing your story and leave having actually performed it in the dark (metaphorically speaking). Registration is required, so check the library’s event page for details.
