It covers the cultural and legal battles Black women have faced over natural hairstyles, from school dress codes to the fight for the CROWN Act, and it wraps with a post-play discussion because the creative team wants your feedback. The show has played to sold-out audiences across the country before COVID put it on ice, so the material has had a workout.
