Silent Book Club meets on the first Sunday of every month from 2 to 3 p.m. in the F.M. Kirby Gallery upstairs at the Morristown Library. The premise is refreshingly low-stakes: pick whatever you want to read, show up, and read it quietly alongside other people who are doing the same thing. Ebooks, audiobooks, comic books, all welcome. The organizers call it a happy hour for introverts, which is either the most accurate description we’ve heard all year or a personal attack. No assigned reading, no discussion, no pressure. Just an hour of collective silence that somehow feels less lonely than it sounds.
