Silent Book Club meets the first Sunday of every month, 2 to 3 p.m., in the F.M. Kirby Gallery upstairs at the Morristown Library. The premise is refreshingly low-stakes: no assigned reading, no discussion, no pressure to have opinions about the ending. You bring whatever you’re reading, settle in among other people who also just want an hour of quiet, and read. Ebooks, audiobooks, comics, that paperback you’ve been hauling around since March. It’s been described as happy hour for introverts, which is either very appealing or a sentence that means nothing to you, and either answer tells you everything you need to know about whether to show up.
