Scavenger Hunt: Seedy Business

Turns out spring gets all the credit while fall is out here doing the real work. This photo scavenger hunt at Frelinghuysen Arboretum flips the script: many plants drop their seeds in autumn, giving birds, mammals, and apparently us a reason to go poking around looking for them. Grab your phone, find the seeds, complete the hunt, and you’ll walk away with a prize. It runs 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on September 22, so you’ve got a solid window to wander the grounds, feel smarter than you did that morning, and let a squirrel show you up anyway.
