While everyone’s obsessed with spring planting, fall is actually when seeds are doing their thing: dropping to the ground, getting tucked away by birds and squirrels, and quietly bracing for winter. Frelinghuysen Arboretum is leaning into that with this photo scavenger hunt, running September 18 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Spot the right seeds, snap your photos, complete the hunt, and you’ll walk away with a prize. Bring the kids, bring your camera, and bring a willingness to learn that squirrels have better meal-prep habits than most of us.
