Fall is nature’s sneaky planting season, and the Frelinghuysen Arboretum is leaning into that with a photo scavenger hunt built around seeds. The premise is solid: plants have been dropping seeds in autumn long before anyone called it a strategy, and squirrels, birds, and apparently now you get to go hunting for them. Snap your way through the hunt between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m. on September 15th, and you’ll walk away with a prize. Bring your phone, a kid who still thinks nature walks are cool, and the willingness to crouch in the leaf litter for a good shot.
