Scavenger Hunt: Seedy Business

@ Frelinghuysen Arboretum

Turns out plants have been doing fall seed drops long before it was trendy, and the Frelinghuysen Arboretum is leaning into that fact with a photo scavenger hunt built around exactly that. The idea: many plants scatter their seeds in autumn, giving birds, squirrels, and other creatures a chance to cache them for winter. Your job is to find them first, camera in hand. Run any day from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. throughout the month, it’s the kind of activity you can do with a kid, a curious adult, or a competitive sibling who takes prizes way too seriously. Complete the hunt and you’ll walk away with something for your trouble. Check the Morris County Parks listing for full details.
