Scavenger Hunt: Seedy Business

Turns out fall is the real season for seeds, and the Frelinghuysen Arboretum is leaning into that with a photo scavenger hunt called “Seedy Business.” The premise is solid: while everyone’s busy Instagram-ing pumpkins, plants are quietly dropping seeds, birds are stashing them, and squirrels are doing whatever squirrels do. Your job is to find those seeds, photograph them, and complete the hunt for a prize. It runs Saturday, September 5, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., which gives you plenty of time to wander the grounds, look incredibly focused, and pretend you knew what a seed pod was all along.
