Turns out plants are way ahead of us on fall planning. While most people associate seeds with spring, a lot of plants actually drop their seeds in autumn, giving them a winter to acclimate and giving squirrels, birds, and your kids something to get excited about. Morris County Parks is running a photo scavenger hunt at Frelinghuysen Arboretum that puts you on the trail of those seeds, running Wednesday, September 2 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Complete the hunt and you’ll walk away with a prize, which is more than we can say for the squirrels. Check the Morris County Parks listing for any registration details.
