Morris County Parks has a cure for the mid-August “there’s nothing to do” spiral, and it runs at the Frelinghuysen Arboretum on August 18 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Grab a phone or camera, hunt down every item on the list, photograph them all, and you’re in the running for a prize. It’s self-guided, it gets the family outside, and it costs your kids approximately zero excuses to stay on the couch.
