This one’s a low-key delight for anyone who’s ever wanted a legitimate excuse to crouch under a garden shrub with their phone camera. Starting July 13, Frelinghuysen Arboretum runs a photo scavenger hunt from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm, sending you through the gardens, beneath leaves, and along what the organizers are calling enchanted trails in search of fairy clues. Spot them all and you’ll earn a “fairy-approved prize,” which is a real thing the listing says and we’re choosing to take at face value. Bring a camera, a curious kid, and the willingness to look slightly unhinged photographing a flower bed. Check the Morris County Parks site for registration details.
