Nimbus Dance brings its world premiere of Peter / The Wolf to the Morris Museum on Saturday, May 22 at 2:00 PM, and the concept alone is worth showing up for. The company reconceives Prokofiev’s classic as a story where Peter and the Wolf are two sides of the same character, with the score filtered through an American folk music lens courtesy of composer and multi-instrumentalist Tim Eriksen. Puppets from Vermont’s Sandglass Theater and scenic design by painter Susan Brearey round out the production. The program is all-ages, and it also includes Memo, performed by Nimbus dancers alongside an intergenerational cast of Morristown community members. Tickets are on sale now through the Morris Museum box office at 973-971-3706.
