New Jersey Ballet’s Nutcracker has been running since 1971, which makes it the longest-running original professional production in the state, and it’s coming to Mayo Performing Arts Center for a stretch of performances from December 11 to December 27, 2026. The New Jersey Symphony plays Tchaikovsky’s score live, so you’re getting the full experience: brilliant dancing, elaborate costumes, and the kind of special effects that make a four-year-old (the listed minimum age) genuinely lose their mind.
