On Sunday, October 4 at 4:00 PM, New Jersey Ballet Artistic Director Maria Kowroski pulls back the curtain at the Morris Museum for an evening that’s part conversation, part live performance, and part masterclass in how a ballet season actually gets built. Kowroski spent more than 25 years as a principal dancer with New York City Ballet, so when she talks about working with leading choreographers and honoring the repertoire, she’s not speaking in abstractions. The program includes excerpts from Balanchine’s Stars & Stripes Pas de Deux and Penny Saunders’ Sur le Fil, among other works. Tickets go on sale to the general public July 20, or July 13 if you’re a Morris Museum member.
