New Directions (formerly Renaissance) is bringing the Kosher Jazz Trio to Temple B’nai Or on Sunday, October 4, starting at 12:30 p.m. Lunch comes first, then the music: Audrey on clarinet, flute, and saxophone, Bob on guitar and vocals, and James on keyboards and rhythms. Together they cover klezmer classics, Israeli favorites, Yiddish swing, and Benny Goodman hits, which is frankly a setlist that covers more ground than most full-sized bands manage. Members and non-members are both welcome, so there’s no membership card to dig out of your wallet.
