The Morristown Library is launching “Booked on Reality,” a new monthly book club for readers who want to dig into non-fiction, whether that’s history, science, memoirs, or something that doesn’t fit neatly on any shelf. It meets the second Wednesday of every month at 7:00 PM in the F.M. Kirby Gallery, and June’s pick is Michael Lewis’s “Who is Government,” a collection where Lewis recruited some of his favorite writers to profile the people doing surprisingly consequential work inside the federal bureaucracy. Think a former coal miner making mine roofs safer, an IRS agent who reads like a thriller character, and the unlikely manager who turned the National Cemetery Administration into a model of competence. Refreshments are provided, and you can grab a reserved copy at the Circulation Desk.
