The Morristown Library is launching a new non-fiction book club, and the debut pick is a good one. “Booked on Reality” meets the second Wednesday of every month at 7:00 PM in the F.M. Kirby Gallery, and the first session on June 10 tackles Michael Lewis’s “Who is Government,” a collection where Lewis recruited his favorite writers to profile people doing surprising, consequential work inside the federal bureaucracy. Think a former coal miner making mine roofs safer, an IRS agent who reads like he wandered out of a crime novel, and a cemetery administrator who somehow runs the best-managed organization in the country. Refreshments are provided, reserved copies are available at the Circulation Desk, and all you need to bring is curiosity, an opinion, and the willingness to admit a government book might actually be a page-turner.
