Kathleen Madigan has been doing this longer than most comedians who’ve had actual TV shows to prop them up, which makes her kind of remarkable. A product of Midwestern union-worker stock, she’s always treated stand-up like a trade, and the result is over three decades of road work, seven specials (her 2025 release “The Family Thread” on Amazon Prime landed on the LA Times and New York Times best-of lists), 40-plus late-night appearances, and a podcast with 10 million streams.
