Jacob Ford Jr. Powder Mill & Ford Mansion Walking Tour
Free, two hours, and a powder mill with a pun built right into the description: this one’s worth clearing a Sunday morning for. Starting at Acorn Hall (68 Morris Avenue), the tour covers roughly three-quarters of a mile total, with a half-mile walk to the Ford Mansion and back, then a short hike to the archaeological site of the actual powder mill that helped fuel the early Revolution. Morris County Historical Society is running this alongside Morristown National Historical Park, so the guiding will be solid.
