On July 30 at Macculloch Hall Historical Museum, this hands-on morning traces the story of Victory Gardens from World War I right into the backyard where Dorothea Post, the Macculloch’s great-granddaughter, once grew food during the war years. Kids ages 3 and up (with a parent or guardian in tow) can help harvest produce, make a Victory Garden-inspired art project, and take home a vegetable seedling to start their own mini garden.
