History and Hops lands at Acorn Hall on October 9th at 4 p.m., and it’s exactly the kind of excuse you needed to spend a Friday afternoon learning about Morris County’s taverns, speakeasies, and social clubs while sipping something local. Glenbrook Brewery, Dismal Harmony Distilling, and Rebel Sheep Wine Co. are pouring samples in the garden (up to five per person), bite-sized lectures run in the restored carriage house, and food vendors including Philly Pretzel Factory and Woops! Macarons are on hand if you need something to pace yourself with. Tickets are $25, you must be 21 or older, and no registration is required. Rain date is October 16th.
