Entertainment historian John Kenrick is coming to the Morristown Library to walk through the colorful history of “Guys & Dolls,” one of the most beloved musicals in the American canon. From its 1950 Broadway debut to its long life on stage and screen, Damon Runyon’s gamblers and Frank Loesser’s songs have stuck around longer than most. Kenrick has credentials to spare: he’s taught musical theatre history at NYU and The New School, written “Musical Theatre: A History,” and spent years working alongside six Tony Award-winning producers. The program runs Wednesday, November 4, 2026, from 1:30 to 2:30 p.m. in the Meeting Room at 1 Miller Rd. It’s sponsored by the National Society of Arts & Letters.
