New Jersey Ballet brings its “Beyond Boundaries” program to Mayo Performing Arts Center on March 5, 2027, and the lineup is specific enough to get genuinely excited about. The centerpiece is the New Jersey Ballet premiere of Christopher Wheeldon’s “Fool’s Paradise,” set to Joby Talbot’s score and widely regarded as one of the standout contemporary ballets of the past two decades. Paired with it is Roderick George’s “Wings of Desire,” built around themes of hope and transformation, plus additional repertory works rounding out the evening. Under artistic director Maria Kowroski, a former New York City Ballet principal, the company has quietly become one of the more interesting ballet outfits in the region.
