Grow It Green’s Alfresco at the Farm lands at 31 Hazel Street on Saturday, September 19th at 3 p.m., and it’s free, which is the kind of sentence we never get tired of typing. Bring a chair or a blanket, plant yourself in the field, and let the afternoon unfold: live music, face painting, caricatures, farm education stations covering plants, flowers, and bees, plus family-friendly games and food from Millie’s Old World Pizza and other local spots. The highlight we’re most curious about is the Gazpacho Tasting Contest, where you buy a mug, sample entries from Jersey Artisan Co., The Artist Baker, and Oldwick Soup Co., and cast your vote alongside a panel of local celebrity judges.
