Ed Harris directing and starring in a film about Jackson Pollock sounds like exactly the kind of double threat that earns you an Oscar nomination, which is precisely what happened. Harris spent years with this project after reading the 1989 biography “Jackson Pollock: An American Saga,” and it shows in the 2000 film’s intensity. The Morris Museum is screening it on January 6 at 2:00 PM, with film historian and educator Gerard Ansellem on hand for a post-film Q&A. Tickets are available through the box office at 973-971-3706, and note that the price includes a non-refundable $3.00 service fee.
