Family Photo Scavenger: Blossoms & Butterflies

@ Frelinghuysen Arboretum

June is peak butterfly season, and what better place to spot these incredible insects than an arboretum? Bring your family and see all the colors a butterfly can be — and the flowers that support them. Finish the scavenger hunt and get a prize.

June is peak butterfly season, and Frelinghuysen Arboretum is about as good a place as any to test that claim. This self-guided photo scavenger hunt runs from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. and has your family tracking down butterflies and the flowers that feed them, cameras in hand. Complete the hunt and you’ll walk away with a prize, which is more than we can say for most family outings. It runs daily through the month, so you’ve got plenty of chances to fit it in around the chaos of June. Check the Morris County Parks listing for registration details and anything else we couldn’t squeeze out of the source page.
