Family Photo Scavenger: Blossoms & Butterflies
June is peak butterfly season, and what better place to spot these incredible insects than an arboretum? Bring your family and see all the colors a butterfly can be — and the flowers that support them. Finish the scavenger hunt and get a prize.
June is peak butterfly season, and Frelinghuysen Arboretum is about as good a place as any to prove that to your kids without resorting to a YouTube video. The scavenger hunt has you and your family tracking down blooms and butterflies across the grounds, camera in hand, and finishing the whole thing earns you a prize. (We’d guess that’s plenty of motivation for the under-ten crowd.) It runs 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., and based on the Morris County Parks calendar it appears to be offered daily throughout June, so you’ve got options. Check the source listing for registration details, costs, and anything else we’re too small to know.
