Family Photo Scavenger: Blossoms & Butterflies
June is peak butterfly season, and what better place to spot these incredible insects than an arboretum? Bring your family and see all the colors a butterfly can be — and the flowers that support them. Finish the scavenger hunt and get a prize.
June is peak butterfly season, and Frelinghuysen Arboretum is leaning all the way into that fact. Bring the kids, grab a scavenger hunt sheet, and wander the grounds photographing butterflies and the flowers keeping them fed. It runs 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., so there’s plenty of time to spot something, lose your place on the checklist, and start over. Finish the hunt and you’ll walk away with a prize, which is more than we can say for most Monday afternoons. The event recurs throughout June, so check the Morris County Parks calendar for the full schedule of dates.
