Family Photo Scavenger: Blossoms & Butterflies

@ Frelinghuysen Arboretum

June is peak butterfly season, and what better place to spot these incredible insects than an arboretum? Bring your family and see all the colors a butterfly can be — and the flowers that support them. Finish the scavenger hunt and get a prize.

June is peak butterfly season, and Frelinghuysen Arboretum is about as good a place as any to prove that to your kids. The scavenger hunt has your family tracking down blooms and butterflies with a camera, and if you finish the whole thing, there’s a prize waiting. It runs 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., which is plenty of time to spot something spectacular, lose track of where you parked, and still make it home for dinner. Check the Morris County Parks listing for registration details, costs, and anything else we’d normally just tell you ourselves.
