Family Photo Scavenger: Blossoms & Butterflies
June is peak butterfly season, and what better place to spot these incredible insects than an arboretum? Bring your family and see all the colors a butterfly can be — and the flowers that support them. Finish the scavenger hunt and get a prize.
June is peak butterfly season, and Frelinghuysen Arboretum is about as good a place as any to prove that to your kids. On June 26 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., the whole family can wander the grounds hunting for blossoms and butterflies to photograph, and if you finish the scavenger hunt you’ll walk away with a prize. Bring your camera, bring your most patient child, and maybe accept in advance that a butterfly will land on someone else’s shoulder and not yours.
