Family Photo Scavenger: Blossoms & Butterflies

@ Frelinghuysen Arboretum

June is peak butterfly season, and what better place to spot these incredible insects than an arboretum? Bring your family and see all the colors a butterfly can be — and the flowers that support them. Finish the scavenger hunt and get a prize.

June is peak butterfly season, and Frelinghuysen Arboretum is about as good a place as any to chase them down with a camera. This self-guided family scavenger hunt has you spotting butterflies and the flowers that feed them, and if you finish the whole thing, there’s a prize waiting, which is more than we can say for most things we drag the kids to. It runs 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on June 25, so you’ve got a comfortable window to work through the list without anyone melting down before the finish line.
