Family Photo Scavenger: Blossoms & Butterflies
June is peak butterfly season, and what better place to spot these incredible insects than an arboretum? Bring your family and see all the colors a butterfly can be — and the flowers that support them. Finish the scavenger hunt and get a prize.
June is peak butterfly season, and Frelinghuysen Arboretum is about as good a place as any to prove that to a skeptical seven-year-old. The scavenger hunt has your family tracking down blooms and butterflies with a camera in hand, and if you finish the whole thing, there’s a prize waiting. It runs 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on June 23, which gives you plenty of time to photograph a monarch, argue about whether that was a moth, and still make it home for dinner.
