Family Photo Scavenger: Blossoms & Butterflies
June is peak butterfly season, and what better place to spot these incredible insects than an arboretum? Bring your family and see all the colors a butterfly can be — and the flowers that support them. Finish the scavenger hunt and get a prize.
June is peak butterfly season, and Frelinghuysen Arboretum is about as good a place as any to test that claim. This drop-in scavenger hunt runs 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. and sends families out to photograph blossoms and butterflies across the grounds. Complete the hunt and you’ll walk away with a prize, which is a better return on a Sunday morning than most of us manage. It appears to run across multiple dates throughout June, so check the Morris County Parks calendar for the full schedule and any registration details we’d just be guessing at.
