Family Photo Scavenger: Blossoms & Butterflies

@ Frelinghuysen Arboretum

June is peak butterfly season, and what better place to spot these incredible insects than an arboretum? Bring your family and see all the colors a butterfly can be — and the flowers that support them. Finish the scavenger hunt and get a prize.

June is peak butterfly season, and Frelinghuysen Arboretum is about as good a place to chase them as you’re going to find in Morris County. The scavenger hunt runs daily from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. through at least mid-June: bring the kids, photograph the blossoms and butterflies you track down, and finish the hunt to claim a prize. Grab your phone, a curious kid, and the patience to stand very still while a swallowtail decides whether your shirt is a flower.
