Family Photo Scavenger: Blossoms & Butterflies

@ Frelinghuysen Arboretum

June is peak butterfly season, and what better place to spot these incredible insects than an arboretum? Bring your family and see all the colors a butterfly can be — and the flowers that support them. Finish the scavenger hunt and get a prize.

June is peak butterfly season, and Frelinghuysen Arboretum is about as good a place as any to prove that to your kids. This self-guided photo scavenger hunt runs 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday, June 6, and has you tracking down butterflies and the flowers that feed them. Finish the hunt and you’ll walk away with a prize, which is a better payoff than most Saturday plans offer. Bring your camera, your most patient child, and a reasonable willingness to crouch in front of a flower bed for longer than you expected.
