Family Photo Scavenger: Blossoms & Butterflies

@ Frelinghuysen Arboretum

June is peak butterfly season, and what better place to spot these incredible insects than an arboretum? Bring your family and see all the colors a butterfly can be — and the flowers that support them. Finish the scavenger hunt and get a prize.

June is prime butterfly season, and Frelinghuysen Arboretum is about as good a place as any to prove it. This family scavenger hunt runs daily from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., sending you and yours out to photograph blossoms and butterflies in what the arboretum does best: making you feel like you’ve earned a nature walk. Complete the hunt and you’ll score a prize, which is more than we can say for most Friday afternoons. The event appears to run across multiple dates in June, so check the Morris County Parks calendar for the full schedule and any details we’re too small to have.
