The Evening Book Club takes on Kaliane Bradley’s “The Ministry of Time,” a genre-bending novel about a government ministry that recruits “expats” from across history to test whether time travel is survivable, for the human body and for the fabric of space-time itself. It’s part spy thriller, part romance, part philosophical puzzle, and entirely the kind of book that gives a book club plenty to argue about. The group meets in the F.M. Kirby Gallery from 7 to 8 pm, it’s open to everyone regardless of residency, and you’re welcome even if you only made it halfway through. Reserved copies are waiting at the main circulation desk.
