Every Thursday from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., the Presbyterian Church in Morristown opens its doors for free 20-minute guided walking tours of one of New Jersey’s oldest congregations, founded in 1733. You’ll hear about Revolutionary War connections, George Washington’s time in town, the origins of the Morristown Green, and the generations of people who kept this place standing through all of it. The church served as a hospital during the Revolution, which is the kind of detail that makes you look at old buildings very differently. Free to attend, open to all, and there’s free parking in the rear so you won’t spend the whole tour stewing about the meter.
